Video with Flavia Del Monte & Scott Tousignant

I want to thank Scott Tousignant of of http://FatLossQuickie.com for hosting this 23 minutes and covering the story behind my transformation and focusing more on the journey rather than the end result.

Here are the questions that Scott asked me:

1) Most women would love to look as good as you did 18 months ago.  What inspired you to take your physique to the next level?

2) You have had no problem telling women that it takes a lot of hard work to earn a flawless figure. What were some of the most challenging moments that you experienced?

3) Were there ever temporary moments when you felt like it was just too hard and if so, how were you able to push forward?

4) Although it took a boat load of hard work to achieve your goal, was it an enjoyable process for you?

5) What are some of the things that you enjoy most out of the transformation journey?

6) Do you see yourself competing in any of those fitness, figure or bikini shows?

7) During your journey did you ever take the time to step back, check yourself out in the mirror, and make note of certain areas that you needed to improve upon? Example; shoulders, abs, butt? Were you able to be critical of your physique without beating yourself up over some of your flaws?

8) I’ve seen your face light up when you talked about your abs. I can tell that you are incredibly proud of your achievements. How has this transformation impacted your mindset? For example; Has it opened up doors to new possibilities? Has it made you realize that you are capable of achieving some pretty amazing goals? Has your confidence been boosted?

9) What was your biggest learning experience from your recent transformation?

I hope you enjoyed the video interview ladies.  Keep at it and keep taking your progress ONE DAY AT A TIME.

Great Video Flavia! So inspirational to me. I already worked out today and want to work out again after watching the video. I can’t wait to start your program..we have been in touch on Face book. Great work!

Your number 1 hits home for me!!! I remember after losing weight from pregnancy and finally getting thin…I knew I wanted go to the next level because being “thin” wasn’t good enough. I wanted to look fit and strong, not just skinny. I was sick of people thinking I was just skinny(which really wasn’t true during some moments in my 20’s!) and so lucky especially when I was working out at the gym so hard.

ditto on how hard it is to get down from 15 % bf to 13%! I competed in a few local shows here for figure and wow, it was HARD. It wasn’t easy. Especially in my 30’s! Anyways, still listening to your interview. (BTW, I love your outfits in the videos! You should think of maybe selling whatever line of fitness attire you wear on your site. When I am fit like you again I am so going to buy those cute clothes you wear in the vids! I know that I usually work harder when I am wearing something cute. Weird, I know but I feel better about myself if I work out in cute gear!)

Yeah, I’m only studying the exercises now since I am pregnant and can’t start until July! But hopefully by that time I’ll be able to start soon.

I want to compete in another show and I plan to use your workouts to help me get there after my baby comes.

Great job April…and not a bad idea about the clothing…my friend sells the clothing…maybe I could put a link to the site.

      • rosie says:

yeah love the tops especially the red top with the open back and criss cross ties…v cute

I would just like to echo the ladies here and add that I LOVE your workout clothes and would love to know where/how to purchase! 🙂 I especially love the camouflage outfit you wear in Day 5! So cute! Awesome interview! ~Amy

Hi, just a quick note to say really enjoyed your video. I was surprised to hear how down to earth you are and just so natural. I am finding your program a challenge and truly am in awe of your fitness, your core stability and of course your body! I think it is really lovely that you care what your family think, I am Italian and know what you mean.
I have complete faith that if I stick to the workout and nutrition plans (including fast and cheat day) I will achieve my goal. Persistence, consistency and sweat will get me what I want.
I have a special occasion in one month and whilst I have been fit and working out etc for years now I want to smash it and take it to the next level.
You are inspirational and so thanks for your help……one day at a time 🙂
    Rosie

Hi Flavia, I really love your honesty and straigh forwardness. !!Thanks for saying it as it is and not sugar coating it.

    Have a great weekend!

  • lori says:

Flavia – sorry to post this here, but my attempts to reach your support line to seek a refund (your money back guarantee) have not been responded to. Can you please advise how get attention to this? Thank you.

    • Flavia says:

No worries, I will get to all the emails and tickets today. We are not going to be answering any over the weekend. My team and I will assist you today

  • Wendy says:

I’m on my third week of your exercises. You make it look so easy . . . I’ve been losing inches, but have not had the guts to weigh myself yet. I tend to not lose weight very easy and don’t want to discourage myself. It is wonderful to feel my abdomen “engage” with just simple every day movements. Your abdominal day is a tough!! Can’t wait to see what the end result is. Thanks

  • Sue neil says:

I absolutely love your honesty Flavia. I have been following your program for 2 weeks now and love how challenging it is. It feels so good to actually do a program that is designed by a woman for women. Thank you!

  • amzzzy says:

Great interview, Flavia!!! You touched on some issues that I’m sure a lot of women can relate to, including myself. It was nice to hear about your frustration once you became thin and people just naturally thought you to be so. I actually carry a picture of my old self at 200lbs. (I’m now at 107lbs) in my purse and love to see people’s expression when they see it and then look back to me now. ;p You are such an inspiration to us all and I thank you for coming into my living room every day to push me!!! 🙂 ~Amy

  • Heidi says:

    Flavia,
I know you have done J Marion’s xtreme fat loss diet before. I ordered this and I am waiting on it to arrive. I also know that a workout plan comes with it. I am on week 3 of Full-body-Licious now….can I just keep doing your workouts while on the diet plan or do I really need to switch to the ones he laid out in his plan?
    thanks!

    • Flavia says:

Hi Heidi…I usually say stick to one plan at a time. How do you know what works if you don’t trust your coach. I do believe my workouts will work with Joels’s…however, you have to be aware that his diet is extreme and have to be careful over-working on his intense low calorie days.

      • Heidi says:

thank you so much for that info. Not to sound like a dummy, but when you say be very careful over-working on the low cal days…..do you mean workout like normal, but if I start feeling week, stop? or do you mean maybe only do 1 set of each excersize? or what? I want to get the most out of all this and I sure want to do it right!! You are great and Im loving the workouts! I just know I will see great results with them!

        • Flavia says:

No question is a dumb question…seriously…ask away! Ya…you may feel really weak and dizzy. I always have a sugar and electrolyte drink handy incase I feel like I will pass out… such as Powerade. You should try to keep the whole routine but maybe take more rest and lift lighter…you won’t have much strength with no food..

  • Ruth G. Farnham says:

Well, I finally found this section again but still don’t know how to continue with my request for a refund. Since I am unable to use the material and plan to use physical therapy for my problems I would appreciate the refund.

  • Alexis says:

I just wanted to comment and say that I really enjoyed reading your blog post here. It was very informative and I also digg the way you write! Keep it up and I’ll be back to read more in the future

  • Lelita says:

    Hi Flavia,

I am enjoying week 2 of your workout program… and I am loving it!! You were so honest, it IS tough! But I am determined to make it work for me.

I guess my question is more about nutrition. As I am working out so hard, I want to capitalise ont hi with my eating. Do you have a diet program that you recommend? Or are you maybe considering writing one? I would love to read that! A diet regime for women… by you!

You look amazing. So well done!

    • Flavia says:

I would recommend mine…or you can do XFLD. Submit a ticket at the helpdesk and we can hook you up! Thanks!

  • Lisa says:

Hi flavia, i’m enjoying your workout! I have a specific question for you in regarding to your nutrition, can you please let me know in general what your sample meals intake for maintenance and for shredding thanks

    • Flavia says:

If you are working out 4-5 times per week. You should consume 14-16x body weight in calories, to maintain and keep muscle mass. If you are interested in just building 17x weight. If you want to shred pounds, decrease to 10-12. But be sure if you are doing a really low calorie week that you have a re-set day with high calories to re-fuel yourself and prevent your body going into starvation mode.
