Happy Tasty Thursday! Enjoy your protein bar on the go!
Don’t have all the ingredient listed? All you need are these 3 ingredients to make your very own protein bar:
- 2 cups dried oats
- 1 cup protein powder – BioTrust is the absolute BEST tasting and purest protein that I have ever tried
- 1/4 cup nut butter
NOTE: you can swamp cranberries for any dried fruit, cocoa for dark chocolate (1/4 cup), and add any type of seed.

Hi! I just started your Curvalisious program 2 days ago (I think I shoud have done Flavilious first but I’ll rock it out anyway), when should I eat these bars during the program? Do they count as a P C or F?
Thanks!
Hi Elizabeth!
These would count as Protein + Carb (Curve meal) They would be great post workout!
Looks yummy
Hi Flavia…
I tried these last night and I don’t have The kind of protein powdeyou have I have prepackage Choc protein packets (110 cal , 20 of protein!)…. I used 3 packets becus that is what I measured in a 1 cup! i also used everything you 1st posted only… I added amazins (dried plums… less sugar) and I only had 1 cup of rolled oats so I had to subsitute 2nd cup with steel oats ( but were also quick oats says on it)
So anyway… How did you get the nutrition info indicated and how can i figure out how much mine is seeing used differant protein powder also my bars (no matter how long refridgerated) where vert very chewy & gooey! are they suppose to be like that?? Please help!! I would like to also make these again but was also wondering really what type oats to use (for best results) and if i decided to use vanilla powder instead if it will be just as good?? thanks appreciate it… These were good but alittle too gooey and chocolately for my taste 🙂 ANDI LOVE Chocolate just too much… Thanks
Jen
Hi Jen,
To calculate the calories/macro nutrients in your protein bars just add up all the calories/macro nutrients in the ingredients you use and then divide that by however many servings you want it to make.
I have not made these exact protein bars but have made some similar and they were pretty chewy and gooey. You’ll have to try the vanilla and see, I would think it would taste pretty good!

Hi Marco,
Glad you enjoy Flavia’s blog! The information she shares is great for men and women. 🙂
I can’t tell you if it’s too much fat. How much fat you eat at each meal depends on your goals, current macronutrient level and when you train. The protein bars are made from healthy ingredients so if it fits into your day then they are great to eat in the evening.
All the best!

These protein bars are so addictive. I cant stop eating them. Is that ok? Or should I stop msking them so I don’t keep pigging out on them?
I just love these protein bars. They are so easy to make and satisfies my sweet tooth also. It is so easy just to take one for a post-workout snack. Thanx Flavia.

I’ve been looking for protein bars to take on the go with me. I’ve came across Quest Bars and they look like a good product. What do you think about these bars? Are they healthy?
Hi Grayson,
Biotrust has some great products that Flavia recommends. Quest is also a great brand and I enjoy having them when I’m on the road or didn’t take the time to prep a meal.
All the best!
