Aluminum is toxic to humans but is used in manufacturing food products, toiletries and cooking utensils, which can lead to aluminum in food. There is evidence to suggest that aluminum toxicity is related to Alzheimer’s disease and other brain function impairments.
Risk of toxicity may decrease with adequate intake of calcium.
Signs and Symptoms of Toxicity:
- failing memory
- numbness of arms and legs
- excessive sweating
- rough skin
- eliminate aluminum containing cookware.
- eliminate aspirin, antacids, antidepressants (consult your physician before stopping).
- eliminate processed cheese, baking powder, commercial oatmeal and pickles.
