Stability Ball Sizes For Women
There are many benefits to incorporating ball exercises into your workout. For starters, ball exercises require little and inexpensive equipment.
Perhaps the biggest benefit to training using stability ball exercises is that they are very effective at targeting core muscles, the muscles that are essential for stability and good posture, often overlooked when exercising with fixed position equipment.
It is important to get the proper size of stability ball for your height.
When sitting upright on an exercise ball:
- Feet should be flat on the floor – with an even weight distribution.
- Knees should be level or slightly lower than the hips – creating an angle of 90 degrees or slightly greater at the hips and knees (thighs parallel to ground or pointing down slightly).
- Hips, shoulders, and ears should be in a vertical line. Bouncing up and down lightly will usually produce this alignment.
Ball Size / Height
55cm – 4’11” – 5′ 4″
65cm – 5’5” – 5′ 11”
75cm – 6′ – 6′ 7”

Hi Flavia,
thank you so much for this info. Now I know I bought the right size 🙂
Stay the best 😉
I’ve recently increased the weight during my workouts and I also increased the time of my workouts. I still eat healthy, I do intervals, but I gained pounds… I don’t feel tight in my clothes. Is it possible that it’s just mucles??? (English is noy my first language, sorry !)
sure, but it is likely water shifting and muscle swelling if you just started. If you like how you look, don’t worry about the scale. But that happens to so many people, myself included….water shifting, it will correct itself and is normal.
So size does matter 😉
BTW, you look amazing! Very inspiring.
Cute! Thanks girl.
Hi Flavia
Iam just going to start weight trainning, I would like to know how many hours a day do I train,
one in the morning and one in the evening is that ok. Do I do the upper body in the morning,
and the lower body in the evening, and do I do the same every day PLEASE HELP
THANKS
MARY
Hey Mary, workout out twice a day for a beginner is too much! Start with 3 times a week and advance as much as 5 days a week. When you are advanced, you can start to weight train twice a day but this is not really needed unless your goal is to do fitness shows.
I have a dumb question about the stability ball, How much should it be inflated. Should it be inflated to max or should it be just a tad under. Of course when i got it, I inflated it to max but as time went on it got a little soft. Does how much its inflated affect exercises.
You should be able to put a little dent in it but more is better than less.
Thanks Flavia, I don’t guess I have a question right now, I’m sure I’ll think of one later 🙂 Love that outfit! Thanks for always being so nice and answering my questions.
I have read that doing kettlebells 3 x’s a week and for about 30 minutes each session is enough and I don’t need to do cardio. I don’t believe it, I think I should still do cardio at least 5 or 6 x’s a week. Which is true?
Depends what your goals are. For me I do cardio 3-4 times a week to keep lean and healthy!
I thought of a question 🙂 I am a Live Large member and I know Vince takes a good many supplements. Could you maybe do a video on all the supplements you take? Thanks, your a huge inspiration!
Good idea Anna! I will when I get into my new kitchen, my house is a mess right now (moving) 🙂
I totally understand, sounds great. Thanks Flavia, I’ll be looking forward to it!
Hi Flavia,
Just started your program yesterday and my thighs are screaming!
I had a question on the diet: Does it matter when your first meal of the day is? Some say within a half hour of waking up, others say waiting longer is better because you will consume less calories throughout the day. I would love to know your thoughts on this.
Thanks,
Alexandra
As soon as possible for sure!! This will start your metabolism going first thing.
A stability ball also makes the best chair! Sit on a stability ball at your desk at home and at work and it will greatly improve your posture while working your core a little all day long!
haha Thanks for the info! I was looking into this so much last week because I wanted one for my birthday. Many websites were stating different answers and I was very confused.
Hi Flavia,
Great advice 🙂 ! I have always wondered what is the correct size for me..
(I am a big fan.. already bought ur program, still struggling to follow it, though)
Hey there. Just started your Bodilicious again. I fell off the bandwagon after moving 6 months ago. I thankfully didn’t gain weight, but hell it hurts getting back into it! I do love, love, love your program though! Thanks for making it easy to do at home. Working out at home is my only option. Please keep that in mind with your next program! 🙂 Question: I am sure you don’t want to recommend certain brands of Stability balls, but I have purchased two and neither of them seem to keep air like the ones I have used inthe gyms. Could you please recommend a brand, now that I know what size I need! I would greatly appreciate it. I feel like I am wasteing money after this well, actually third ball! Thanks again for your time, lady!
Hey Trelle, to be honest, I got mine from Winners and I love it. The brand is: Sportline. I have gotten 3 from WInners all different brands for others (don’t know what they were) and all 3 are still keeping up. Hope that helps.
Good post, keep up the good work… You put a nice twist to it. Great job Flavia.
