Exercises for women

Today is a great day! I get to see my husband after being apart for two and a half weeks. I can’t wait to see him…….YAY!

I am meeting Vince in beautiful Vancouver where we will celebrate our two year anniversary where it is less humid!
Getting your head in a good space is important for success. Vince is currently doing a photoshoot for Iron Man Magazine in L.A before flying up to meet me.

I asked him, “what motivates you babe? When you don’t want to keep pushing yourself – what do you do?” He told me this:

Some people dream of success, while others wake up and work hard at it!

Let this truth be imbedded in your mind as you face challenges this week. Getting a beautiful body takes time and effort – but the rewards are so worth it. remember that it takes time to create your dream body, you can’t do it overnight. It takes discipline, hard work and of course an intelligent approach.

Hi, Have been following and doing your workouts. How can I get rid of back fat (below my waist and above my butt) to be more specific, that is the only place my body seems to hold on to and I can not get rid of. I am a vegan and eat clean I also workout 5/6 days a week. Let me know and I will forever be grateful.

Try boxing and loads of pushups! Doing heaps of hooks will get your back muscles as well as abs moving!

      Hey Rita,
You may have a hormonal imbalance. Consider doing a blood work and see a holistic nutritionist to see if you can do something to help with that. Also, if you have Flavia’s full-bodylicious, one of her bonuses write about hormones. Otherwise email her to inquire about purchasing it.

The spare tire could be related to insulin resistance or carbohydrate sensitivity. Confirm that with your blood work. Unfortunately I’m not qualified to give you advice as to what to do.

Needed that today! Sitting here trying to get motivated for a workout after a weekend of walking the Stampede grounds for work.

Does this happen to anyone else? Im very excited to get a program. Im making it work for several days. I can see the progress! Then I do something to sabotoge the progress. I eat bad or skip the work outs. It is extremely agravating. For the life of me I don’t know why this happens. It is like the devil takes over. I want to be healthy and strong. I can visualize it happening but I keep getting stuck 🙁 Iv tried numerious things to work through it with no avail.

It’s ok it happens to lots of us . It’s as though we get complacent as soon as we see results happening so we decide to reward ourselves by treating ourselves and going of track with diet or were tired and bizzy then we use that as an excuses to skip a work out telling ourselves it won’t hurt but the truth is doesn’t yet the berating we give ourselves does. Its our own Demond’s from within . It’s ok this is we’re the real challenge lays in not giving up on our selfs by letting it get to us and stop us ..

Lori, you actually said it in your post. Life happens, that’s what happened. Don’t focus on it… pick up where you left off and don’t beat yourself up. Everyday will not be perfect. If that is what you’re looking for, you will continue to be disappointed. You are a human being, we all fall… pick yourself back up and get on with your program/goals. Forgive yourself, love yourself and be as strong as you can be in the moment.

      Cari,
Your post was EXACTLY what I needed to hear today! Just like Lori, I have been having my struggles. Your post smacked me in the face and back into reality. I always focus on being “perfect” and beat myself up very much when I am not. I love working out and rarely miss one, but I can get very out of hand with my eating habits. I am very extreme and can easily overload. Even with healthy foods like fruit and veggies.
But thank you for your wise words and thanks Flavia for your continually awesome posts!!

Hi, I’ve been doing the Curvalicious program for 6 weeks now and I’ve already seen amazing progress not to mention that my abs have started to show hurray! I haven’t had any cheat days during this time, but next week we’re going dining out for and I’m not sure if I make that my cheat day, do I eat the serving on my plate (I’m opting for fish or seafood) or do I still measure only 4oz approx. and eat that? Thanks for all your tips, you’re a Godsend!

    Hi Flavia
Firstly just wanted to say what a beautiful body you have and thankyou for such a great workout. I’m on day 3 tomoro and I’m aching like crazy already..
Can’t wait to see some results.
You make the moves look really easy but I struggled a little today with the Ab workout and I thought my core was pretty strong. Hey ho it can only get better now!!
I wanted to ask what you recommend for a daily allowance of carbs as I love rice cakes with almond butter for a snack…
Also in the Ab workout DVD your gym pants are gorgeous. Can I ask where you got them??
    I love them.
    Thanks again Flavia.
Hope to hear from you soon.
    Natalie.

      Hey Natalie, thank you!

For the carb intake, you need to check out what is recommended for your body weight in the nutrition guide and you can calculate it from there or use the Curvalicious Calculator to help.

Workout gear was from http://www.bodybybrazil.com Cheers!
