Healthy Weight Loss Recipe For Women

Today I sat outside in beautiful Tampa, Florida craving cheese. I searched my fridge to find some feta that I used in a salad a few days ago. I whipped up this healthy recipe and wanted to share with you because it is sooo good. Don’t have this everyday but once in a while is totally acceptable. This snack is great for veggie dip or take with you to a party. It is high in protein which rocks and low in fat.

Feta and Greek Yogurt Dip

What You Need

  • 16oz greek yogurt (plain, non-fat)
  • 3/4 cup crumbled feta (raw milk organic feta is best)
  • 1 medium cucumber diced and squeezed dry with a paper towel
  • 2 tbsp chives
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp of fresh lime juice

Method:

  1. Mix all ingredients together and cover.

I recently tried greek yogurt and truvia/stevia at your recommendations and I love them both for the taste and health benefits over the foods they replaced. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to try this simple dip 🙂 Dill sounds like a great addition.

  • Dianne says:

The addition of dill is very yummy…i do it all the time….I’m greek so this is how we make tzatziki dip….except I use lemon juice, and no chives…could use a little fresh parsley….great for veggies, on top of pasture raised lamb burgers, on top of a salad….yumm!

  • Monica says:

I would imagine that this dip is also refreshing. I will certainly try it, also as a dressing on salads.

Thank you Flavia & enjoy your trip to Tampa.

  • Rita says:

if you make this without adding the cucumber you can use it on a dressing for cucumber salad – works out wonderfully

Flavia, I just found your site, and I am LOVING all the information you are giving. I definately want to try your program. Just wondering how you feel about extremely low carb diets that put your body in ketosis. How many carbs is too much and how much it too little? I eat five to six times a day and every meal is high protein. I can easily go a day under 30 carbs. What do you think?

    • Flavia says:

That type of diet is effective but I would only do it for a few weeks. You need to have high carb days every 4 days at 1.5x your body weight. I don’t endorse this type of diet as the rebound is high, you may not be recovering properly from your workouts and you may be lacking nutrients. Make sure you aren’t counting your veggies as carbs..never take these out. I would rather you stick to a diet that has carbs only after a workout instead of carb cycling.

  • valerie says:

I am currently losing weight doing this. I would like to lose about five more pounds, then ad 10 or so more carbs post workout…

  • Louise Helene says:

I just tasted the recipe, and it’s delicious! I really loove tatziki too, so this is diffently a new favourite ! 😀 ..
