For me, I like starting out with a cocktail on a dinner night out, and finishing with a nice Pinot Noir. Ok, there is usually one more, a specialty coffee (now that’s a night out).

  1. 1 oz. rum
  2. 1⁄2 cup pineapple
  3. 3 oz. diet ginger ale
  4. 1 lime slice
  5. Margarita glass
  1. Combine rum, pineapple and ginger ale into blender.
  2. Run until smooth.
  3. Pour into margarita glass.
  4. Garnish with lime slice.
  1. Recipe makes 1 serving.
  2. Calories: 105 per serving (compare to 251 calories in traditional Caboose cocktail).

    hi Flavia that sounds good. tell me i really am struggling with drinking and dieting. I know that i really can drink everyday but then will 1 340ml of beer or 120ml of wine ruin my hopes of ever shadding some pounds. another question is it strategic to maybe cut out a meal like say supper and have 4 drimks. will tat help, calorie wise or am i just making things worse.

      If you have beer, stick to lite beer. You shouldn’t skip any meals and an occassional drink or two shouldn’t matter. Sounds like the rest of the food may need to changed!

    I have one better. straight tequila, chilled with water to chase.
    Tequila has no carbs and only 65 calories per shot. Much better than having a drink with sugar that will turn into fat

    This is music to an Irish girls ears, in Ireland we have such a drink culture…and it really can sabotage a weight loss goal…
