Chocolate protein pancakes are a perfect alternative to classic pancakes but way healthier. They’ll also be great for your muscle gains 😉
The chocolate comes from Chocolate Protein Powder. Feel free to use Vanilla and you’ll get Vanilla Protein Pancakes. I’ve tried both and they’re fantastic!
Chocolate Protein Pancakes

Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Oat Flour
- 2 Whole Eggs
- 1 1/2 Cup Egg Whites
- 1 1/2 Cup Protein Powder
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Raw Honey
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Baking Powder
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the oat flour, protein powder, and baking powder. Stir all the ingredients until the are well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the eggs, coconut oil, and raw honey. Mix it together thoroughly.
- Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix it gently until the batter is smooth. Do not over-beat the batter.
- Heat a griddle to high heat and lightly grease it with coconut oil or organic butter. Pour the batter on the hot griddle to form pancakes. When tiny bubbles form along the top, flip them over and cook until golden brown.
Notes
- Add in favorite fruits
- Use organic maple syrup or raw honey on top of pancakes or try to eat them plain

I had someone tell me recently that once protein powder is heated past a certain tempurature in the cooking process, it loses it’s efficacy? What is your knowledge on this?

I just tried the recipe and used whole wheat flour instead of oat flour. As the result the batter was too thick and I had to add about 1 1/2 cup of water. Managed to make 4 big pancakes out of this recipe too.
The pancakes were good though! I’m so glad that learn that protein pancakes can be so tasty!
